Position Summary:
Maintain, service and support workshop assignments and the management of workshops daily activities including specific workshop tools and equipment, at Thai Vietjet workshops or at the customer location, depending upon the assignment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance of aircraft component, inspection/repair and trouble shouting component after testing, issue nonconformance report, develop maintenance instruction, prepare shop ability, and perform technician’s tasks as instructed by manager or supervisor within his/her qualification scope and quality system requirements
- Must be familiar with one of the CAAT TCAR / EASA / FAA CFR PART145 regulatory requirements.
- Work with front end sales administration and meet the requirements.
- Ensure and drive application of lean principals within the organization.
- Knowledge of Hydrostatic Test and Gas Refill Process Procedure
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspects gas cylinders to detect surface defects tests elasticity of cylinder walls.
- Removes valve from cylinder, using wrench or valve-removal machine and inspects exterior including interior of cylinder to detect dirt, rust scale, dents and arc burns.
- Fills cylinder with water, seals cylinder immerses cylinder in water-filled jacket, using chain hoist.
- Screws fittings turns valve or starts pump to create pressure that expands cylinder wall.
- Compares pressure gauge or burette reading with specifications segregates cylinders that exceed prescribed expansion limits.
- Stamps test data company symbol on cylinder.
- Records test results, cylinder serial number, and test date.
- May be designated according to size of cylinder inspected as Ton-Cylinder Inspector.
- Issue Approved Release Certificate as being approved by Authority and/or Company approval authorization.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with aircraft or airline Hydrostatic Test & Gas Refill Shop
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with military Hydrostatic Test & Gas refill Shop
Typical Education & Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma) and typically 4 or more years‘ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate+2 years‘ related work, Bachelor, etc.).
Academic Qualification Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- A relevant degree, certification, or license may be required.
- Experience as a technician.
- A driver‘s license.
- Ability to multitask and liaise with professionals in different fields.
- Ability to explain problems simply and clearly.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations.
- Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.
Optional Qualifications/Experience:
- English and Mathematics GCSE or equivalent
- Degree or BTEC in Aerospace Engineering or similar is desirable but not essential
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and technical publications to perform duties
- General knowledge of a workshop environment.
- Fit to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Knowledge and experience with personal computer systems.
- Able to communicate in English (Fluent in English is plus)
