Openings STRUCTURE REPAIR TECHNICIAN

Be able to work in Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)

Position Summary:

  • Maintain, service and support workshop administration including the management of workshops daily activities including specific workshop tools and equipment, at Thai Vietjet workshops or at the customer location, depending upon the assignment.
  • Carry out repair, perform maintenance checks and modification of the full range of aircraft structural components and body structures Inspect defects and determining the repairs required.
  • Fabricate airframe sheet metal parts, service aviation, subsystem assemblies’ components and perform operational checks to ensure aircraft is in line with regulations and safety requirements
  • Identify, remove, and manage aircraft corrosions while ensuring aerodynamics smoothness.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and fault isolate returned materials
  • Perform routine and non-routine repair activities on aircraft and associated parts
  • Perform required testing and maintain results as and when required
  • Input defect recording requirements and data into Thai Vietjet database or software system
  • Itemize parts requirements for repairs, initiate necessary documents to properly control the repairs process and procedure
  • Remove defect parts from aircraft or related surfaces, disassemble, rework, test (if required) and otherwise complete assemblies or repair for aircraft or parts to return to service
  • Perform work in accordance with various work instructions such as service manuals, workbooks, service bulletins, technical orders, blueprints, customer service instructions and other written and verbal instructions within established methods and procedures
  • Perform various duties to accomplish disassembly, rework, repair, inspection, assembly, final process, and associated operations on various products utilizing proper procedures and techniques in order to conform with quality standards to meet the compliance and conformance as required by the Authorities
  • Ensure that all documentation such as specifications, procedures and forms and applicable tools, gages and fixtures are quality compliant and traceable
  • Perform a variety of material control and handling duties such as unloading, receiving, storing, disbursing, packaging, and shipping material and equipment

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structures and fracture critical areas
  • Locates blind holes necessary for installation of new structural items to existing structure
  • Performs efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structure in accordance with standard repair processes
  • Demonstrates the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair
  • Utilizes tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of structural parts

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with aircraft structures shop
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with military fighter aircraft maintenance

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma) and typically 4 or more years‘ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate+2 years‘ related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Academic Qualification Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • A relevant degree, certification, or license may be required.
  • Experience as a technician.
  • A driver‘s license.
  • Ability to multitask and liaise with professionals in different fields.
  • Ability to explain problems simply and clearly.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to follow health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
