Position Summary:
- Wheel Shop Executive is directly responsible to the Workshop Manager for overall operation of the Component shop to comply with the procedures of the company
- Assuring the serviceability of tools and equipment. Establish maintenance program and maintenance worksheet for tool and equipment in Component shop
- Making available to the Wheel Shop the necessary manuals and any other required technical data and monitoring their updating
- Managing and responsible for the Wheel Shop’s safety. Maintaining compliance with the safety and fire protection regulations in the Wheel shop
- Initiating request for spare parts, hardware and materials as work requirement
- Making certain that the Wheel Shop uses approved materials only and storing in according with manufacturer’s requirements in separate with identification
- Maintaining current publications and drawings. Maintaining all shop equipment and tools in serviceable and working condition
- Maintaining the premises of the Wheel Shop in clean and orderly condition
- Performing maintenance and repair in accordance with CMMs
- The Wheel Shop Executive may delegate to a qualified person in case of absence. However,
such delegation does not release him from overall responsibility - Ensuring training and authorization records of all workshop personnel are kept for reference
and audit purposes - Wheel Shop Executive must check every day/week status of fire extinguishers and other safety
equipment and correct if found any discrepancy
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform testing, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair and assembly on Aircraft components of various model of Aircraft.
- Perform analytical inspection using the latest inspection tooling as well as using visual inspection guides.
- Perform Maintenance and repair with chemicals, tools and equipment such as Hand finishing,
Painting or Cutting on aerospace part and assemblies IAW CMM, SRM, Engineering Instruction and
approved technical data. - Completes all required paperwork and documentation in timely manner after task complete.
- Read, interpret, and properly employ technical manuals, mechanical drawing.
- Perform daily tooling check, preventative maintenance checks of the responsible equipment/toolboxes/chemical cabinets/machines.
- Record maintenance action in AMOS from work package and scheduled tasks (WO/WP)
- Plan and manage manpower to maintain effectiveness of workload
Special Skills and Requirements Needed:
- Able to read, interpret and understand drawing, SMR, CMM, IPC, manual and/or specification
- Perform testing, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair and assemble on A/C component of various model of A/C
- Completes all required paperwork and documentation in timely manner after task completed
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience, of which at least 2 years should be from the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position.
- A relevant engineering degree or an aircraft maintenance technician qualification. Above can be replaced by 5 years of experience in addition to cover an appropriate combination of experience in tasks related to aircraft maintenance and/ or continuing airworthiness management and/ or the surveillance of such tasks.
Academic Qualification Requirements
- Being graduated from aeronautical technical university/college, or being graduated from technical university/college and being trained in basic aeronautical technical course.
- Bachelor graduate or higher.
- Have previous experience for small internal workshop teams, ensuring that all planned and unplanned maintenance activities are coordinated and executed to the required standard and within agreed company maintenance schedules.
- Management and continuous development of risk assessments and awareness in ensuring all staff clearly understand what is expected of them.
- Good English communication skills with Aircraft Engineering background.
- Standard computer literacy.
